The Embaresment is Real

Sometimes, I regret things. Actually, a lot of times I regret things. Like that time I crashed my fourwheeler into a pole and did not tell my parents until the found out at the end of the summer. Or that time I wore a baggy purple shirt with a baggy multi-coloured skirt. (TBH, I regret most of my teenage fashion choices.) But right now? I regret all if the blog posts I wrote on here when I was 16. How did this regret come about? It is Ben's fault. I was happily going about my life until he texted me one day and says "remember out blog? You should write a post." So I listened to him. But before writing a new one, I looked back at all of the old ones. I shuddered. And cried. And then wrote this post to revive my crumbling reputation. It has been two years since Ben and I started this blog, so obviously plenty of things have changed since then. For one, I am no longer sixteen. SURPRISE! No, actually, if you are familiar with the way the world works, you will know that I am no longer sixteen. I am actually 18. No longer am I in high school, but I am in college, spending the next four years in the United States studying history. Today is a turning point. Ben and I are going to start posting much more often. Now, though, I must go and listen to my professor lecture about classical economics.

I Apologize

Dear Faithful Reader,
Now you may be thinking, considering the title, that I am about to apologize for not posting for almost 2 years. Well you would be wrong, I in fact am not sorry for that at all. Well maybe a little.. but that is not the point. To be perfectly honest the memory of this blog had faded from my brain like the sun descending into the horizon. Not that it was gone, to continue the analogy, no it was still there but in the deep recesses of my mind, waiting to be resurrected in a glorious sunrise. And today my friends was that day. I opened my blogger panel and decided to take a trip into the past. And let me tell you it was not pretty.
Very rarely does my present self have to come into stark contrast with the dorky idiocy of my youth but today I did. So to all of the people (the 3 of you out there) who read this blog in its early days. I am deeply sorry you had to put up with the low quality of content and horrible recommendations. I would now like to formally recant a few things. First, burn notice is not my favorite show and I cannot believe I said it was one of the greatest shows out there. I have seen the error of my ways and repented. Secondly, I said that I was going to give a deeper analysis of TFIOS but after two years of anticipation it has not come out, and probably never will. Even on the other blog I semi-annually write on (http://booketblog.blogspot.com/). And thirdly, well  don't really have a third thing but I was told you weren't supposed to make a list with only two points so here you have the third point.
Onto a few things that I have retained from the past, I still have not and do not plan on watching Dr Who anytime soon, as each day passes that conviction only grows more adamant. Another thing that will probably continue from the days of yore is inadequacy of my blogging skills. You can expect another article in two years when I will be cringing, apologizing, and recanting all of the things I am saying presently. Until then,
        Benjamin

The First Day Of Fall

Hello Everyone! You Are Probably surprised to hear from me considering it has been over a month since I last posted, but here I am! Anyways not much has been going on in my life, just trying not to drown in the impending whirlpool that is school. I don't think I have mentioned before on this blog that I am home schooled, so there's a bonus fun fact.
Well as of the day of writing it is the first day of Fall so that's pretty awesome, because I love fall. Also it snowed here already which was pretty cool for like the 4 hours that it lasted, but at least it snowed here before it did in Canada. And Addy you should watch Burn Notice! (Also I really liked the excerpt from your book). So I guess that's really all I have for today, hopefully I will be committed to posting because I just literally thought of four more ideas for posts.  So bye for now!

The name of the doctor

I would just like to take a moment to say I'm am very sorry for not posting hardly at all lately. I've been busy with school starting and my parents being gone.

I would also like to say that I finished season seven of Doctor Who! Yes, I am now caught up. Season eight is airing now every week so I shall watch those to keep up with my favourite TV show. I can't decide whether to watch Burn Notice next or Once Upon A Time. Hard decision. Honestly if i wasn't such a hard tenrose shipper (the tenth doctor and Rose Tyler for those of you who are not Whovians) Clara and The eleventh doctor might very we'll be my OTP. I'm sad that there story is now ended, but I'm ready for the twelth doctors story to begin.

Also, I am writing a book. The working title is Count It All Joy and I shall post an excerpt here:

*    "Help me, Lottie!" He struggled for breathe as the current bobbed him up and down in the water.
Kyle kneeled down next to me and reached his hand out,"Grab my hand, Rory."
"I c-can't reach," his lips were a light blue and his eye-lids started dropping.
    "Kyle, do something! He's freezing!"
A cracking sound filled the air and the branch that Rory was holding onto broke off. A blood-curling scream escaped from his mouth as he was pulled down the river. His head dissapeared under the water.*

Vacation Bible School fun

First off, I know i havnt been keeping you updated on my 100 hard things challenge, but I have been doing it. From reaching out to people I havnt talked to in years, to helping with crafts at a Vacation Bible School I volunteered at. It's been fun at times, hard at other times, and I've wanted to forget about it and not try to go out of my way to do hard things, but I've kept on going.
Speaking about Vacation Bible School, a group of my friends from my youth group arrived in my town last Saturday for a missions trip. They did a VBS and other activitys. It was so much fun and I got to hang out with my friends too! The out-reach was amazing.

What a berry big mess

As Ben so graciously pointed out, I got back from camp a week or so ago. It was an amazing week and I learned so much. I also learned that some people are jerks but I still hang out with them anyways. Why? Because I can. That's why.
The title of my post was not a typing error. My room, right now, is a Berry big mess. In other words, there blueberries covering my floor. The last few days I've been picking buckets and buckets of blueberries that I am cleaning then will turn into jam to sell and make money. My hands are purple from blueberry juice and my floor has squished berries all over it.
I heard that Ben is looking for a new show too watch. You know what I say to that? DOCTOR WHO. Yes, my friends, I said it. The very best show on earth besides Sherlock.

Posting Again

Wow hello everyone! I just looked up at the calender and realized it has been a very long time since my last post, I have no excuses, other than I am just lazy I guess. But hey its summer! (At least for a few more weeks). Anyways I thought I would just give a few updates about what I've been up to.
I went hiking at a place called Curt Gowdy State Park and to be honest I really enjoyed it, there were a lot of different facilities to do a variety of activities (i.e. archery, mountain biking, bouldering, hiking, fishing) which I thought was nice. Also there was quite a bit of diverse landscape which was nice to see. Definitely a neat place to visit.
Also a few articles ago I wrote about how I was almost done with my favorite show (you can check out the post here.) and I did finish it. Let me just say it was amazing, it ended exactly how I wanted it to so that was awesome. Now, however, I am looking for a new show to watch, so if you have any ideas please comment below (no Doctor Who *cough cough* Addy)  I also finished The Fault In Our Stars and I am currently re-reading it, because I feel it needs more than one read-through to give my full analysis.
Well that's all I have for now, Addy got back from camp a few days ago so she will probably be posting soon. Until next time,
     -Benjamin
